PIVETE RADIO is a quarterly radio show based off of the party Club Pivete (@pivete.fm). Club Pivete was born in early 2023 as an effort to project a light on the deficient Brazilian funk & electronic scene in Los Angeles that would typically be overlooked. As a mobile tool alongside the party, Pivete Radio puts sound research focus onto global club music – led by its curator, @victoriamoura, as well as guest DJs from all corners of the earth looking to do the same. 

Our featured guest DJ on episode 03, GG hails from Houston, Texas in the United States. With inspiration from her Southern roots, GG’s sound has been described as contrasted genres coming together into one harmonious sound. GG began her DJ journey in 2021, less than a year after relocating from NYC to LA. In summer of 2023, GG teamed up with Space Tea for four electrifying nights at the EDC Las Vegas campgrounds. Lately, she has set the vibes for clients including Highsnobiety, Adidas Futbol, Summer Fridays and most recently she took center stage at Andre Powers’ “Linkup Worldwide”party.

PIVETE RADIO aims to globally expand its footprint from LA to BH and beyond; from funk to gqom, jungle to deconstructed club and techno, the show covers heavy ground. For episode 03, GG says “As a fan of Funk Carioca since 2011, this mix is full of fun moments melding the worlds of hip-hop, pop and dance with funk beats.”
