PIVETE RADIO is a quarterly radio show based off of the bi-monthly party Club Pivete (@pivete.fm). Club Pivete was born in early 2023 as an effort to project a light on the deficient Brazilian funk & electronic scene in Los Angeles that would typically be overlooked. As a mobile tool alongside the party, Pivete Radio puts sound research focus onto global club music – led by its curator, DJ @victoriamoura, as well as guest DJs from all corners of the earth looking to do the same. 

Joining us on this episode, from the depths of São Paulo, Yuri Pontes aka @YBRYD is a multi-talented producer, DJ and sound engineer known for the elegance of his edits, regularly released on Soundcloud. Founder of Bassic Brasil, a party label and radio show focused on showcasing the next generation of Brazilian artists to the world. The monthly party is held in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo and already has had names such as VHOOR, Young Clubber, DJ Adame, Apropriadamente, MU540, Sanvtto and Wavezim.

PIVETE RADIO aims to globally expand its footprint from LA to BH and beyond; from funk to gqom, jungle to deconstructed club and techno, the show will cover heavy ground. For episode #002, DJ @YBRYD says “This is some of the music that i’ve been preparing for BASSIC’s 2 year anniversary party, hope you like it!”
