PIVETE RADIO is a quarterly radio show based off of the bi-monthly party Club Pivete (@pivete.fm). Club Pivete was born in early 2023 as an effort to project a light on the deficient Brazilian funk & electronic scene in Los Angeles that would typically be overlooked. As a mobile tool alongside the party, Pivete Radio puts sound research focus onto global club music – led by its curator, DJ @victoriamoura, as well as guest DJs from all corners of the earth looking to do the same. 

Victoria Moura is a Brazilian American photographer and DJ born and raised in California. With half of her family in Belo Horizonte, Victoria uses music as a portal to feel closer to the warmth of her Brazilian half. One of Victoria’s childhood nicknames, “pivetinha” was the catalyst for the name Club Pivete; representing as an ode to our inner child.

PIVETE RADIO aims to globally expand its footprint from LA to BH and beyond; from funk to gqom, jungle to deconstructed club and techno, the show will cover heavy ground. In episode #001, resident DJ @victoriamoura will be sharing a melting pot of sounds stemming from her Brazilian roots and beyond, which inspire the continuous study of her refined sonic taste.
